If you are using any other languages and locale then you need to change to any of the above language. Here is how to change the language and locale settings.
- Go to Control Panel and here click on the region icon or execute intl.cpl command in runbar.
- This will open Region window which contains the details of current system locale, language and more.
- In the drop down under Format section set it to English(United States) and click on Apply.
After applying the changes restart your PC and now try to install Windows 8.1. Now it will show any error and enjoy Windows 8.1. If you still get an error then better you can download Windows 8.1 preview ISO files.
